For the last so many days the standard question is – Market Kya Lagta hai ?
Its always a tough question to answer after a 10% up or down move as markets never continue on one side forever.
We have been doing this exercise for the last 4 years and has helped us get some interesting insights during market turnaround points.
A lot of weightages have kept on changing in such a way that Nifty is a totally different animal from 2007/2010. Rcom was at a time 5-7% wieght is no more part of it. Reliance Inds was 11-13% is now just 5%. Check this older report by Crisil - Note on – A tale of two Niftys
